Maybe this can save someone some time. I had to change the generated <Code Language="jscript"> to <Code Language="javascript"> before I could import this into VS2012 as a javascript snippet.

I cannot save a snippet path in Snippet editor 2.1

I have added a path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\Web\Snippets\JScript\1033\ExtJS

containing my extjs snippets (for use in .js files)

This folder has previously been added to the Code snippets manager in VS2010

I add this path into snippet editor using the add path right click context menu. It adds the folder but without the little blue star in the centre of the icon.

I close snippet editor and re-open, the new folder is gone.

What am I doing wrong please?

How can I add new localization?

I downloaded the source code and found that each of the localizations is defined in Resources.**.resx files inside "My Project" folder,

but can't find a way to open those resources files from the solution.

Opening My Project - Resources only shows the English strings.

Can you guide me on how to add new resources and build those dlls.

And also probably on how to submit new localizations to this project.

Thanks for the question.

For the first one, I currently don't support custom delimiters but this would be a good feature to add. I will look at adding this for the next release.

As for your second question, having the editor use the set language isnt a bad idea but the issue is that I use the language for other thing like determine where to default save the snippet to. How should this behave for some unknown language.

Which PHP plugin do you use for VS? It support code snippets?

Thanks for the questions.

I currently don't support dragging and droping snippets but that would be a nice feature so I will look into it.

Also, the Snippet Designer doesn't contain functionality to change a snippet folder. You could just open than one up and save it to a different location then delete the original.

I am use VS2005, included C#,C++.

Operation system:Windows XP SP2

When I install snippet editor 2.1, it occure "System.InvalidOperationException" problem.

In addition to .Net, I also work with PHP in Visual Studio. I have two questions.

Is it possible to change the delimiter for a snippet from inside the interface? The dollar sign makes life difficult when working in PHP. If I open a snippet where I manually specified the delimiter it correctly detects and uses the delimiter, but I don't see a way to specify it for a new snippet.

Secondly, I'd like to set the language field of the snippet to PHP. Once again snippets I set by hand show the custom value, but I don't see a way to set it from inside the interface.
